Alexander Volkov Shifts Focus Away from UFC Heavyweight Title

Alexander Volkov has stated that he is no longer focused on the UFC heavyweight championship after his recent victory over Rizvan Kuniev at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi.

In a discussion on The Ariel Helwani Show, Volkov emphasized that the title does not define him, asserting his self-worth as a champion regardless of the belt. He expressed frustration with the UFC's matchmaking decisions, particularly the upcoming title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit, which he addressed directly to Dana White.

Despite his recent win, Volkov clarified that he will not spend his career chasing a title he believes he has already earned. The UFC has yet to announce his next opponent.
