Alexandra Eala Eliminated by Belinda Bencic at National Bank Open
Alexandra Eala's participation in the National Bank Open concluded on Sunday night in Toronto, where she faced Belinda Bencic from Switzerland in the Round of 16.
Eala lost the match with a score of 6-4, 6-0, marking the end of her impressive seven-match winning streak, which included her recent title at the DC Open, making her the first player from the Philippines to win a tour-level event.
Bencic, the 12th seed in the tournament, displayed a strong performance with only six unforced errors, the lowest for her in a WTA-1000 singles match this season.
