Alistair Overeem Congratulates Brock Lesnar on WWE Retirement

Alistair Overeem has contacted Brock Lesnar after the latter confirmed his retirement from WWE. Lesnar, who is 49 years old, hinted at his retirement during an off-script speech at SummerSlam and officially announced his departure from professional wrestling shortly thereafter.

Overeem, who previously knocked out Lesnar at UFC 141 in December 2011, acknowledged Lesnar's retirement with a tribute on Instagram, recalling their iconic fight. He expressed his congratulations and shared a photo from their pre-fight staredown.

In his post-retirement plans, Lesnar mentioned his intention to support his family members in their sporting endeavors, including his two sons in hockey and his daughter, who aspires to compete in the 2028 Olympics.
