Altay Bayindir Joins Celta Vigo on Loan from Manchester United

Altay Bayindir, the goalkeeper for Manchester United, is set to spend the upcoming season on loan at Celta Vigo in Spain. This move comes after he had difficulty securing a regular spot in the team since joining from Fenerbahce in 2023.

Initially starting as the first-choice goalkeeper, Bayindir lost his position to Senne Lammens and subsequently became a backup. He is the second goalkeeper from Manchester United to be loaned out this summer, following Andre Onana's loan to Trabzonspor.

During his time at United, Bayindir made six appearances last season, totaling 17 since his debut against Newport County in 2024. He will now join Celta Vigo, who finished sixth in La Liga last season and will compete in the Europa League under coach Claudio Giraldez.
