Amanda Serrano to Conclude Boxing Career in Puerto Rico
Amanda Serrano, a seven-weight world champion, is set to fight Skye Falzon in Puerto Rico on January 9, marking the end of her professional boxing career.
The 38-year-old will defend her WBA and WBO featherweight titles at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. With a record of 50 wins, four losses, and one draw, Serrano aims to break the all-time women's knockout record in her farewell match.
This bout, titled The Last Walk, will be contested over 12 three-minute rounds against Falzon, who has won 12 of her 14 professional fights. Serrano's previous fight resulted in a majority decision victory, bringing her to 50 wins, but she fell short of the knockout needed to surpass Christy Martin's record. Serrano has been a trailblazer in women's boxing and plans to continue advocating for future generations after her retirement.
