American Seeds Compete in US Open Third Round
The US Open continues its third round on Saturday, featuring American seeds Taylor Fritz and Learner Tien, along with two-time NCAA Champion Michael Zheng. They are all vying for spots in the fourth round.
Taylor Fritz, the ninth seed, previously defeated Darwin Blanch and Mattia Bellucci in straight sets. He is set to face 24th-seeded Francisco Cerundolo, who has also progressed through the tournament after winning his first two matches.
Meanwhile, Learner Tien, seeded 14th, will compete against 17th-seeded Jakub Mensik, with both players looking for their first fourth-round appearance at the US Open. Michael Zheng, the third American in action, faces unseeded Arthur Gea, who has already achieved his best Grand Slam performance.
