Amit Mishra Claims Virat Kohli Ignored Him After Injury Comeback Promise

Amit Mishra, a former Indian cricketer, has claimed that Virat Kohli ceased communication with him after assuring a return to the national team following his recovery from an injury sustained during a T20I match against England in 2017.

Mishra stated that both then-coach Anil Kumble and Kohli had promised him a spot on the team once he regained fitness. However, after he recovered, he attempted to reach out to Kohli for updates but received no response, leading him to feel sidelined.

He noted that other players who had faced more severe injuries were able to return to the team, yet he never received an explanation for his exclusion. Mishra's last appearance for India was in the match against England, which he described as a disappointing end to his international career.
