Anahat Singh Exits London Squash Classic After Quarterfinal Loss
India's Anahat Singh was eliminated from the London Squash Classic during the quarterfinals after losing to Malaysia's Sivasangari Subramaniam, who is ranked fifth in the world. The match took place in London, where Singh lost with scores of 4-11, 4-11.
Sivasangari, the third seed, dominated the match, finishing it in just 17 minutes. She will advance to the semifinals to compete against Egypt's Amina Orfi, the second seed and reigning world champion.
Singh, currently ranked 20th in the world, had previously reached the quarterfinals by defeating Belgium's Nele Gilis, who is ranked 11th. Following this defeat, Singh is set to participate in the Qatar Classic starting on September 12, as she prepares for the upcoming Asian Games in Japan, beginning on September 19.
