Anaheim Ducks Re-sign Cutter Gauthier to Six-Year Contract

The Anaheim Ducks have announced the re-signing of winger Cutter Gauthier to a six-year contract, utilizing cap space freed up by the termination of Chris Kreider’s deal. The contract carries an average annual value of $13.5 million, with approximately $69.5 million of the total $81 million being paid in signing bonuses.

Gauthier, who was selected fifth overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2022 draft, was traded to Anaheim shortly after expressing his intent not to sign with Philadelphia. He had a strong rookie season in 2024-25, scoring 20 goals and providing 24 assists in 82 games, and he improved further last season under coach Joel Quenneville, leading the Ducks with 41 goals and 69 points.

This contract positions Gauthier among the highest-paid players in the league, reflecting his performance and potential. The Ducks currently have just over $2 million in cap space for the upcoming season, with options to adjust their roster for additional flexibility.
