Andoni Iraola Expresses Satisfaction with Liverpool's Summer Signings
Manager Andoni Iraola has expressed his satisfaction with Liverpool's summer signings, including the notable acquisition of Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain for £123 million. Barcola is set to make his debut in the upcoming Premier League match against Ipswich Town.
During the transfer window, Liverpool made four significant signings, including centre-back Jeremy Jacquet and winger Victor Munoz. Despite not reinforcing the right-back and central midfield positions, Iraola defended these decisions, stating that the club focused on signings that would enhance the team.
Iraola also confirmed the retention of Cody Gakpo after a rejected £80 million bid from Manchester City, highlighting Gakpo's value to the squad. Although Liverpool has yet to secure a victory under Iraola, he remains optimistic about developing the team's potential as they prepare for a busy schedule ahead.
