Andrew Martin Releases 'Evans & Friends' Chess Course

International Master Andrew Martin has launched a two-volume chess course titled 'Evans & Friends', focusing on the Evans Gambit, a classic opening for White. The course aims to provide players with a complete repertoire following the moves 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.b4.

Volume 1 covers the Evans Gambit in detail, presenting various defensive systems for Black and emphasizing the importance of development and initiative. Martin includes historical and contemporary games to illustrate the gambit's effectiveness, while also offering practical training exercises.

Volume 2 expands the repertoire to include responses to the Two Knights Defense and the Petroff Defense, among others. Martin's approach focuses on strategic play rather than memorizing extensive theory, making it accessible for club players rated up to 1900. The course also features interactive exercises, enhancing the learning experience for users.
