Andy Williams, Former AEW Star and Every Time I Die Bassist, Passes Away at 48
Andy Williams, recognized as 'The Butcher' in All Elite Wrestling and a bassist for the band Every Time I Die, passed away on Saturday at the age of 48.
Williams collapsed following a match at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania, where he was competing alongside Braxton Sutter against TME. Medical personnel administered CPR before he was transported by ambulance, leading to the cancellation of the event.
Initially aspiring to be a wrestler, Williams faced a setback due to a knee injury during training, which prompted him to form Every Time I Die in 1998. He returned to wrestling in the 2010s, training with Josh Barnett and becoming a prominent figure at Bloodsport events. In 2019, he debuted in AEW with Sutter and Allie, engaging in various feuds until the team took a hiatus in 2023 following Allie's departure.
