
Angel Reese Sets Two Rebounding Records in Historic Game
Angel Reese made history by setting two rebounding records during the Atlanta Dream's 78-71 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Monday in Los Angeles.
Reese achieved a WNBA record with 26 rebounds, surpassing the previous record of 24 held by Chamique Holdsclaw since May 23, 2003. In the same game, she also exceeded the season record, bringing her total to 458 rebounds, which is seven more than A’ja Wilson's mark from 2024.
Additionally, Reese recorded her WNBA-leading 27th double-double of the season, scoring 11 points with a crucial basket in the final moments of the game. Known for her rebounding prowess, she has consistently led the league in this category, averaging 12.0 rebounds per game this season.
