Angel Reese Sets WNBA Record with 26 Rebounds in Dream's Victory
Angel Reese made history on Monday by recording 26 rebounds in the Atlanta Dream's 78-71 victory against the Los Angeles Sparks. This performance not only marked a personal best for Reese but also set a new WNBA single-game record.
In addition to her record rebounds, Reese contributed 11 points, three assists, and three steals. The win capped off a successful 4-0 road trip for the Dream, who now hold a 25-13 record and are positioned fourth in the playoff standings. Over the four games, Reese averaged 20.8 points, 15 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.5 steals.
Reese's achievement also included surpassing A'ja Wilson's previous single-season rebounding record, bringing her total to 458 with six games left in the season. She is now tied for the second-most 20-rebound games in WNBA history. Reese expressed gratitude for the guidance she has received from veteran players, particularly Tina Charles, as she continues to strive for excellence on the court.
