Angus Anderson's Journey in Collingwood's Forward Line

Angus Anderson, a 23-year-old player for Collingwood, is currently navigating his apprenticeship as a forward in the AFL, aiming to transition into a midfield role. Drafted as Pick 57 in the 2025 National Draft, he has already made a significant impact, scoring 18 goals in 16 games.

Originally from the North Coast of New South Wales, Anderson is the first male player from his region to be drafted into the AFL. He previously played for the Sydney Swans Academy and later for Sturt in the SANFL, where he earned a best-on-ground medal in the grand final. Since joining Collingwood, he has embraced the forward position, which he did not expect when drafted.

As Collingwood prepares to face the Western Bulldogs in a Wildcard Round final, Anderson looks forward to playing in front of large crowds, with family traveling to support him at the MCG.
