Anna Huang Competes at LPGA Tour's FM Championship
Seventeen-year-old Canadian golfer Anna Huang is competing in the FM Championship on the LPGA Tour, where she recorded a 2-under 70 in the second round, bringing her total to 5 under overall.
Huang, who hails from Vancouver, finished her morning round three strokes behind the clubhouse leader. She earned her spot in this tournament by tying for fourth at the LPGA's CPKC Women's Open in Edmonton last week, as top-10 finishers are granted entry into the next event.
Having opted to turn professional last year instead of pursuing college golf, Huang has excelled on the Ladies European Tour, securing four career wins in two seasons. Although she is not yet an LPGA member, she currently ranks 36th in the world. Other Canadian teenage golfers, including Aphrodite Deng and Clairey Lin, have also had notable performances this summer.
