Anna Huang Leads Canadian Contingent at CPKC Women’s Open
EDMONTON – Anna Huang has emerged as the leading Canadian competitor at the CPKC Women’s Open, currently positioned in the top 10 after two rounds of play.
On Friday, Huang recorded a 2-under 68, although her performance was marred by a double bogey on the 18th hole. Earlier in the round, she had been 3 under through 10 holes and added a birdie on the 16th. This tournament marks her first time making the cut at the event, and she is two shots ahead of fellow Canadian Brooke Henderson.
Huang aims to improve her putting over the weekend, acknowledging that she struggled with speed and confidence on the greens. Seven Canadians made the cut, the highest number since 1996, with a record of 10 Canadians having played all four rounds in 1977.
