Davidson noted that Hamilton's team should have provided clearer information regarding the car's condition and the potential penalties from the race director.

Despite instructions from his race engineer to stop the car safely, Hamilton attempted to return to the pits before eventually pulling over at Turn 14 after receiving direct orders from the race director. Davidson warned that Hamilton's actions could mislead young drivers, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety regulations. Following the incident, Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli set the fastest lap, while Hamilton finished ninth. The FIA has not yet announced any penalties for Hamilton.
