Anthony Diieso Aims for Redemption with St. Anthony's Friars
Quarterback Anthony Diieso is gearing up for his second year with the St. Anthony’s Friars as he aims to lead the team toward a state championship. Following a semifinal playoff loss last season, Diieso has dedicated his summer to improving his skills and building team chemistry.
Diieso, who began as a sophomore last year, participated in a quarterback challenge organized by the Suffolk County chapter of the National Football Foundation in July, which he found motivating ahead of the upcoming training camp. He expressed enthusiasm about competing against top players from Long Island.
This season, Diieso is focused on enhancing his leadership and has been working closely with his receivers to prepare for the challenges ahead, including tough out-of-league matchups against New Jersey teams Red Bank Catholic and St. Peter’s Prep. He is determined to achieve a state championship with his team.
