Anthony Hankerson Waived by Seahawks, Eyes College Return
Anthony Hankerson, a running back recently signed by the Seattle Seahawks, has been waived by the team and is considering a return to college football.
In his brief time with the Seahawks, Hankerson rushed for 10 yards on five carries and caught two passes for nine yards during a preseason game against Tennessee. He is one of 16 players eligible for a fifth collegiate season due to a recent Louisiana court ruling, which allows him to enter the transfer portal once he clears waivers.
Previously, Hankerson was an undrafted rookie from Oregon State, where he had a notable season with 1,086 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. He initially signed with the Miami Dolphins before being waived earlier this month.
