Anthony Richardson Faces Misdemeanor Marijuana Charge in Indiana
Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession in Indiana.
This charge stems from an incident on October 12, when Richardson was pulled over by police in Carmel for driving a vehicle with an expired registration. Officers detected the smell of marijuana and reported that Richardson admitted to smoking in the car to avoid exposing his children to it. A subsequent search revealed marijuana and THC-infused gummies in the vehicle.
The Indianapolis Colts acknowledged the situation and stated they are in the process of gathering more information, but they will not provide further comments at this time. A bench trial for Richardson is set for January 4.
