Anthony Richardson to Start Against Patriots; Daniel Jones Out for Preseason

Anthony Richardson is set to start for the Indianapolis Colts in their preseason game against the New England Patriots on Thursday. Colts head coach Shane Steichen announced this decision following a joint practice with the Patriots.

Richardson is expected to play the first half of the game, with fellow quarterback Leonard taking over in the second half. This rotation will continue in the Colts' next preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, where Leonard will start and Richardson will play the second half.

Daniel Jones, who is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, will not participate in any preseason games. Richardson, the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, had previously requested a trade after the Colts signed Jones, but there has been limited interest in acquiring him.
