Appeal for Information in 32-Year-Old Murder Case of Julie Finley
Merseyside Police are renewing their appeal for information regarding the murder of Julie Finley, who was discovered dead in a field in Rainford, Merseyside, over 32 years ago. Finley, a 23-year-old from Liverpool, was last seen on the night of August 5, 1994, speaking to an unidentified man near a hospital.
Her body was found the following day, having been strangled, and left near the Wheatsheaf Hotel. Despite various media appeals and offers of rewards for information, no arrests have been made in connection with her murder. Police are particularly interested in a woman named Tina, who had previously contacted investigators but did not follow up.
Detective Inspector Sam Davies emphasized that the investigation remains active and urged anyone with information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, to come forward. Julie's mother has expressed a desire for justice, hoping to see it before her own passing.
