Arch Manning Reacts to Viral AI Video of Coach Sarkisian
Texas quarterback Arch Manning gained attention on social media after he laughed at an AI-generated video of coach Steve Sarkisian during a media availability on Monday.
Manning, 22, was discussing the aftermath of Texas's historic 24-23 victory over top-ranked Ohio State when a reporter inquired about the AI edits circulating online. He mentioned seeing a humorous clip of Sarkisian allegedly slapping reporter Holly Rowe, which prompted laughter from the press corps present.
The video, which depicts Sarkisian in a fictional scenario, gained significant traction after Manning's comments, amassing over 20 million views by Tuesday morning. The original incident occurred during the game when Sarkisian abruptly left a postgame interview with Rowe, leading to the creation of the AI video. Additionally, Sarkisian had a similar interaction with another reporter, Laura Rutledge, during halftime, which was later addressed by ESPN.
