Support for FIFA president Gianni Infantino has emerged from Argentina and Mexico's football associations amid ongoing disputes regarding World Cup rights. This backing comes as UEFA maintains its stance to boycott FIFA competitions.

The controversy intensified after Infantino retracted a proposal to generate approximately $4.2 billion by selling a stake in FIFA's commercial rights. Following this, the Confederation of African Football also expressed its support for Infantino's leadership.

Argentina's Football Association acknowledged FIFA's admission of errors in the handling of the proposal and emphasized the need for transparent governance. Meanwhile, UEFA continues to demand assurances before resuming participation in FIFA events, with the Asian Football Confederation showing solidarity with UEFA and CONCACAF.
