Argentina's President Javier Milei has intensified his country's claim over the Falkland Islands, a British overseas territory, by announcing plans to impose economic sanctions on oil companies operating in the region. Milei highlighted a forthcoming oil project involving British and Israeli companies in the Sea Lion oilfield, which is expected to begin extraction within 18 months.
