Arizona Cardinals Trade Marvin Harrison Jr. to Houston Texans
The Arizona Cardinals have finalized a trade sending wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick to the Houston Texans. In exchange, the Cardinals will receive a 2027 second-round pick and a sixth-round selection.
This decision comes after the Cardinals' recent 45-21 defeat to the Detroit Lions, which left the team with a 1-4 record. Head coach Mike LaFleur indicated that the trade was made in the best interest of the team, noting that Harrison had not been a strong fit for the current offensive strategy.
Harrison, who was inactive for the Lions game as the trade was being arranged, had only five receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown in the first four games of the season. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett expressed disappointment over the quick nature of the trade, highlighting the strong relationships within the team and wishing Harrison well in his future endeavors.
