Arman Tsarukyan Accuses Charles Oliveira of Avoiding UFC 331 Fight
Arman Tsarukyan has expressed his belief that Charles Oliveira did not intend to fight him at UFC 331, which is scheduled for September 19. Tsarukyan will make his return to the Octagon after defeating Dan Hooker last November, now facing Mauricio Ruffy in a co-main event that could lead to a title shot.
Initially, Tsarukyan was set to compete against Oliveira, but the matchup changed just a day before the announcement. Tsarukyan alleges that Oliveira used the death of a friend as an excuse to withdraw from their fight, despite Oliveira reportedly resuming training shortly after the incident.
Oliveira is now rumored to be in talks for a fight with Diego Lopes, who was initially considered as an opponent for Tsarukyan. Tsarukyan, who has previously defeated Oliveira, believes that his upcoming fight with Ruffy presents a greater challenge.
