Arman Tsarukyan Clarifies Fight Offer Situation with Diego Lopes
Arman Tsarukyan has stated that he did not receive an offer to fight Diego Lopes at UFC 330. Lopes had previously mentioned the possibility of facing Tsarukyan upon moving up to the lightweight division.
Tsarukyan confirmed that he was initially set to fight Charles Oliveira, but after Oliveira's withdrawal, he only received an offer to face Mauricio Ruffy. During a recent press conference, UFC president Dana White dismissed questions regarding Tsarukyan's original matchup with Oliveira.
Tsarukyan remarked that the UFC appears to favor Lopes, suggesting that they are protecting him from facing tougher opponents. Reports indicate Lopes may be in line to fight Oliveira next, although Oliveira is likely to take a break following the death of his teammate, Allan Nascimento.
