Arsenal Shows Interest in Bayer Leverkusen Defender Jarell Quansah
Arsenal has shown interest in acquiring Jarell Quansah, a defender from Bayer Leverkusen and a member of the England national team.
Currently, discussions are at an exploratory phase, and a transfer for the 23-year-old player appears feasible. This interest follows Arsenal's ongoing negotiations for another defender, Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa, with the latter club seeking around £60 million for Konsa, while Arsenal values him closer to £40 million.
Quansah's versatility as both a centre-back and right-back aligns with Arsenal's needs, although it is unclear if this interest is a strategy related to their pursuit of Konsa. Arsenal will begin their Premier League title defense without William Saliba, who is sidelined due to a back injury sustained during the World Cup. Quansah, who participated in the World Cup and made 44 appearances for Leverkusen last season, has a clause allowing Liverpool to match any offers for him, but the club reportedly has no plans to activate it.
