Arte Moreno Sells Angels to Stan Kroenke

Arte Moreno has reached an agreement to sell the Los Angeles Angels to Stan Kroenke, the billionaire owner of the NFL's Los Angeles Rams. This unexpected decision comes after Moreno had previously considered selling the team but decided against it in January 2023.

While the exact sale price has not been disclosed, reports indicate that it exceeds the record $3.9 billion paid for the San Diego Padres. Kroenke's acquisition of the Angels adds to his extensive portfolio, which includes ownership of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, and Arsenal FC.
