Arthur Fery of Britain staged a comeback to defeat Aleksandar Kovacevic and advance to the semi-finals of the Winston-Salem Open in North Carolina.
Fery, the fourth seed, won the match with a score of 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, after winning five consecutive games from a 5-5 tie in the second set. He took control in the third set, establishing a 3-0 lead and ultimately securing his first semi-final appearance since Wimbledon in July.
In the semi-finals, Fery will face James Duckworth, who previously defeated Fabian Marozsan. Fery's recent performance at Wimbledon propelled him into the ATP top 40, currently ranking 37th, and he is set to compete in the US Open for the first time, where he will face 13th seed Lorenzo Musetti in the opening round.
