Arvid Lindblad Raises £60,000 for Will MacIntyre's iMRI Campaign
Arvid Lindblad, a driver for Racing Bulls in Formula 1, has raised £60,000 for Will MacIntyre's initiative to fund a state-of-the-art intra-operative MRI scanner at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. This fundraising effort followed a silent auction of Lindblad's helmet worn during the Belgian Grand Prix.
The funds will contribute to Project iMRI, which aims to raise £6 million, led by 18-year-old MacIntyre, who has faced significant health challenges since late 2025. After a lengthy hospitalization and treatment for a rare neurovascular condition known as XLP1, he is now advocating for the establishment of a specialized iMRI facility.
Lindblad, who has known MacIntyre for nearly a decade, expressed his support for his friend by donating his race helmet to the auction. He highlighted MacIntyre's resilience and commitment to helping others despite his own health struggles.
