Ashton Jeanty May Return for Raiders Season Opener
Ashton Jeanty, running back for the Raiders, may return to the lineup for the season opener against the Miami Dolphins, as indicated by Las Vegas general manager John Spytek.
Jeanty is currently recovering from an ankle injury sustained during an indoor practice on August 23, which initially raised concerns about its severity. Although he did not participate in Tuesday's practice, Spytek mentioned that Jeanty could return sooner than anticipated.
If Jeanty is unable to play, Mike Washington Jr. is expected to take his place. Washington had a strong preseason, recording 23 carries for 168 yards. Last season, Jeanty, 22, rushed for 975 yards and scored five touchdowns as a rookie.
