Ashwin Reveals India Squad Picks for 2027 ODI World Cup

Ravichandran Ashwin has shared his selections for India's squad for the upcoming 2027 ODI World Cup, which is set to take place in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia from October 4 to November 21, 2027. His choices come more than a year ahead of the tournament.

Ashwin categorized players into three groups: 'Yes', 'Maybe', and 'No'. Notably, he included veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 'Yes' category, while prominent players such as Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, and Abhishek Sharma were placed in the 'No' category.

In his analysis, Ashwin emphasized the importance of Bhuvneshwar's experience and suggested he should participate in various tournaments leading up to the World Cup to ensure he is well-prepared for the conditions in South Africa.
