Asmita and Tanvi Progress in French Open Badminton; Satwik and Chirag Eliminated

In the French Open badminton tournament held in Paris, Asmita Chaliha and Tanvi Sharma secured victories in their respective women's singles matches, while the men's doubles team of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty faced elimination.

Satwik and Chirag, ranked fifth in the world, fought hard but ultimately lost to the French duo of Christo Popov and Toma Junior Popov with scores of 19-21, 21-18, 13-21 after just over an hour of play.

Asmita triumphed over China's Hang Qian Xi with a score of 21-18, 24-22 in 39 minutes, and Tanvi defeated her fellow Indian Isharani Baruah 21-12, 21-12 in 32 minutes. Earlier, the women's doubles team of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand was eliminated after losing to the Chinese Taipei pair of Lin Chih-Chun and Yang Chu Yun.
