Aston Martin Dominates Free Practice 2 at Lone Star Le Mans
Aston Martin achieved a strong performance in Free Practice 2 for the Lone Star Le Mans, with Harry Tincknell and Zach Robichon leading their classes in Austin. The session took place under cloudy skies and temperatures exceeding 30°C.
Tincknell drove the No. 007 Aston Martin Valkyrie to the fastest lap in the Hypercar category, clocking a time of 1m52.567s, which was 0.122s quicker than the No. 35 Alpine. The No. 17 Genesis secured third place despite an early spin by Mathys Jaubert that caused a brief red flag.
In the LMGT3 class, Robichon set the fastest time with a lap of 2m05.609s, outperforming the two Iron Lynx Mercedes entries by over 0.4s. The session concluded with the Garage 59 McLarens and other competitors closely trailing Robichon's benchmark. The next session, Free Practice 3, is scheduled for Saturday at 11am local time.
