Aston Martin's Unique Track Car Tested at Paul Ricard
Aston Martin's distinctive one-off track car has been seen testing at the Paul Ricard circuit in southern France, as new footage emerges online.
This vehicle, which first gained attention in April, has also been spotted at a private airfield and in Portimao, Portugal. The design combines elements from Formula 1 and the Aston Martin Valkyrie, featuring a narrow nose and exposed suspension arms, while the rear resembles a Le Mans prototype.
Commissioned by billionaire Ken Griffin, the car aims to be the fastest track vehicle globally. Development is overseen by Aston Martin Performance Technologies, with speculation about Adrian Newey's involvement. Reports suggest it may utilize a Cosworth-built 6.5-litre V12 engine, potentially producing around 1,200hp. The car's performance could challenge existing track records, including those set by the Porsche 919 Evo.
