Aston Villa Set to Face Viking in Champions League Clash

Aston Villa will host Viking in a Champions League match at Villa Park on Wednesday night, with kickoff scheduled for 8pm BST.

The team, managed by Unai Emery, is looking to secure their third consecutive victory in the tournament after a strong performance against Fenerbahçe, where they won 6-0, and a narrow 1-0 win over Newcastle in the Premier League. Villa currently sits third in the league-phase table with six points, having scored nine goals and conceded only two.

Despite a left-back injury crisis, with Ian Maatsen, Matteo Ruggeri, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka sidelined, Tyrone Mings is expected to fill the role. Viking, who drew 3-3 with Bayern Munich after leading 2-0 in their last match, will be looking to improve their performance after losing to Stuttgart in their opening game. The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 2 in the UK and Paramount+ in the US.
