Athletics and General Manager David Forst Part Ways

David Forst will no longer serve as the general manager of the Athletics, as the team announced on Friday that they have mutually agreed to part ways.

Dan Feinstein, the assistant general manager, will take over as interim GM for the remainder of the season while the team searches for a permanent replacement. Forst has been with the organization since 2000 and has held the GM position since 2015.

Team owner John Fisher expressed gratitude for Forst's contributions, highlighting his integral role in shaping the baseball operations department. Forst had recently signed a new contract for the current season as the Athletics navigate a transition period while planning a move to Las Vegas in 2028.
