Atlanta Braves Option Brewer Hicklen to Triple-A Gwinnett
The Atlanta Braves have optioned outfielder Brewer Hicklen to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, following his recall as an extra player for the Little League Classic against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Hicklen, who is 30 years old, was added to the active roster for the special game but has now returned to the Gwinnett Stripers. This move is part of a series of transactions for Hicklen, who has experienced multiple call-ups and demotions in 2026.
Since making his major league debut with the Kansas City Royals in May 2022, Hicklen has played for the Brewers, Tigers, and Braves. In his limited appearances with Atlanta this season, he has recorded a .368 batting average with four doubles and three RBIs. Despite his strong performance, the Braves view him as depth rather than a long-term option, and he will remain at Gwinnett unless another opportunity arises.
