Atlanta Braves Report Revenue Growth Amid Lockout Concerns
The Atlanta Braves revealed their financial performance for the first half of 2026 during an earnings call, amidst concerns of a potential lockout affecting the upcoming MLB season. The team reported total revenues of $377.1 million, marking a 5% increase from the same period in 2025.
Revenue from the Battery, the Braves' real estate development around Truist Park, surged by 26% to approximately $54.9 million. In contrast, the team faced a $5.8 million loss in adjusted operating income, a significant decline from the previous year's $37.2 million gain. The Braves played 39 home games during this period, one less than last year.
While baseball-related revenue increased by 2% to about $322.2 million, operating costs rose by 19% to $308.7 million. The Braves also launched their local media operation, BravesVision, which has introduced new expenses and altered revenue timing. The team anticipates that future national media deals will enhance their financial landscape as they navigate ongoing labor negotiations.
