Atlanta Dream Forces WNBA Finals Decider Against Golden State Valkyries
The Atlanta Dream secured an 80-69 victory over the Golden State Valkyries, preventing the Valkyries from achieving their first WNBA Finals win and setting up a decisive seventh game on Sunday.
The Valkyries entered the match with a 3-2 series lead but struggled early, trailing 32-15 at the end of the first quarter. The Dream maintained a significant lead throughout the game, reaching halftime at 46-26.
Gabby Williams of the Valkyries was the top scorer with 26 points, while Angel Reese led in rebounds with 14. The game was originally scheduled for a smaller venue but was moved to the larger State Farm Arena, which sold out for the event. The Dream expressed disappointment over scheduling issues but remain optimistic heading into the final game at Chase Center in San Francisco.
