Atlanta Falcons Trade for Gervon Dexter Sr. from Chicago Bears
The Atlanta Falcons have made a trade to acquire defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. from the Chicago Bears, as reported by ESPN on Sunday.
In the deal, the Bears received cornerback Clark Phillips III along with a fifth-round draft pick. Dexter, who is 24 years old, has been a starter for the Bears over the past two seasons, recording 44 tackles and six sacks in 17 games last season. He has a total of 115 tackles and 13.5 sacks across 49 career games since being drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Clark Phillips III, also 24, played only one game last season due to a triceps injury. He was a fourth-round pick by the Falcons in 2023 and has accumulated 63 tackles, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and an interception in 28 career games.
