Barcelona's interest in Alvarez is reportedly influenced by Arsenal's ongoing pursuit of the player. Laporta acknowledged Atletico's stance on not selling Alvarez but indicated that Barcelona remains interested in acquiring him if Atletico changes its position before the transfer window closes. Atletico's statement emphasized that the situation is not about financial matters but rather about dignity, claiming that they have been harmed by the ongoing speculation.
