Audi Appeals Decision on Tsunoda's Race Start Incident

Audi has officially appealed the stewards' decision that took no action regarding Yuki Tsunoda's alleged infringement at the start of the race during the Italian Grand Prix.

Tsunoda, who finished in tenth place, was investigated after a restart incident that followed a race stoppage due to Charles Leclerc's crash. The RB driver realized he was in the incorrect grid position and adjusted himself, but this occurred just as the race director decided to send the field on another formation lap.

The stewards concluded that the aborted restart was the race director's responsibility, not Tsunoda's. They found no grounds for Racing Bulls to instruct Tsunoda to enter the pits based on the available information. Audi has stated their intention to appeal the decision and now has 96 hours to determine whether to formally proceed.
