Audi Exceeds Expectations in F1 2026 Season, Says Racing Director
Audi is debuting in Formula 1 this year and heads into the summer break after achieving three consecutive points finishes.
The team has made five Q3 appearances in the first 11 races, with drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto averaging qualifying positions of 12th and 13th. Audi, which took over the Sauber team, has accumulated 12 points, with 10 of those earned in the last three races.
Racing director Allan McNish noted the team's progress, particularly in qualifying, and acknowledged the need for improvements in areas such as race starts and power unit performance. Despite sitting eighth in the standings, McNish remains optimistic about the team's development and future potential.
