Audi Plans to Appeal Tsunoda's Monza Ruling

Audi has announced its intention to appeal the FIA's decision not to penalize Yuki Tsunoda for his actions prior to the restart of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

During the race, after Charles Leclerc's crash, Tsunoda approached the grid incorrectly before ultimately stopping in his designated position. This led Race Director Rui Marques to call for an additional formation lap due to concerns about the car's placement.

The stewards determined that the extra lap was a result of the Race Director's judgment rather than Tsunoda's actions, which meant he would not face penalties. Tsunoda finished the race in tenth place, just ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto, who was 11th. Audi stated that they will not provide further comments as the matter is now under the FIA's appeal process.
