Audi's Progress in Formula 1 Focuses on Team Culture, Says Binotto
Audi's performance in its first season as a works team in Formula 1 has shown improvement, according to Mattia Binotto, who emphasizes that the most significant progress is occurring off the track.
Initially, Audi struggled, scoring only once in the first eight races. However, the team has become a more consistent top-10 contender, with Nico Hulkenberg achieving the team's first Sprint points in Singapore and matching its best Grand Prix finish with an eighth place.
Binotto pointed out that the transformation of Sauber into a full manufacturer program has led to better attitudes and working relationships within the team. He believes that the geographical separation of Audi's operations in Switzerland and Germany is less important than the unity of the team. Audi aims to become a title contender by 2030, with hopes of accelerating this timeline.
