Austin Creed and Kofi Extend AEW Contracts for Five Years
Austin Creed and Kofi are expected to have a long-term presence in AEW, with reports indicating they signed five-year contracts with the promotion.
The duo made their AEW debut at All In, where they quickly achieved success by winning the Trios Championship alongside Swerve Strickland. Their championship reign was short-lived, as they lost the titles to 'Hangman' Adam Page and Brodido at the recent WrestleDream pay-per-view.
Strickland played a key role in their transition to AEW, despite initial hesitations from Tony Khan due to their existing WWE contracts. The trio's collaboration was one of the first concepts presented to them prior to their debut. Additionally, Khan is known for investing in music rights for wrestler entrances, as seen with The New Level's use of A$AP Ferg's 'New Level,' which was approved shortly before their debut.
